The collaboration spans a custom-finished SL-1200 turntable and a capsule collection featuring a gold pendant, soccer jersey, logo tee, crewneck, hat and lanyard

Aimé Leon Dore and Technics have joined forces to present a limited-edition turntable that brings analogue sound culture into dialogue with contemporary design. The collaboration centres on a reimagined SL-1200 model, positioning the iconic deck within a broader lifestyle and aesthetic context.

At the core of the release is the SL-1200M7ALD, a bespoke version of Technics’ long-running SL-1200 series, widely regarded as a foundational tool in DJ culture since its introduction in the 1970s. Interpreted through Aimé Leon Dore’s visual identity, the turntable is finished in the brand’s Mulberry Green colourway, complete with custom detailing and a co-branded slip mat that frames the object as both performance equipment and design artefact.

Despite its stylistic overhaul, the turntable retains Technics’ engineering precision. The SL-1200M7ALD is equipped with the brand’s coreless direct-drive motor, developed to eliminate cogging and deliver consistent rotational stability. An S-shaped aluminium tonearm and a vibration-dampening platter further support accurate playback, making the model equally suited to critical listening environments and professional DJ use.

The collaboration extends beyond the turntable into a tightly curated capsule collection, comprising a gold pendant, soccer jersey, logo tee, crewneck, hat and lanyard.

The SL-1200M7ALD turntable is available exclusively through Aimé Leon Dore, with distribution limited to the United States at this time.
