Rendered in black and brown leather, it arrived complete with workable dials, speaker-like detailing and a cassette wallet tucked into the design

Hermès unveiled a boombox-shaped leather bag during Véronique Nichanian’s final menswear presentation for the house, part of the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection shown at Paris Men’s Fashion Week. The runway marked the closing chapter of Nichanian’s nearly four-decade tenure, staged before a packed audience at the Palais Brongniart and greeted with a standing ovation.

The piece — quickly dubbed the Hermès Boombox bag — became one of the show’s most talked-about accessories. Rendered in black and brown leather, it arrived complete with workable dials, speaker-like detailing and a cassette wallet tucked into the design.

Fashion insiders framed the boombox bag as both a design flourish and a symbolic gesture. The retro audio motif nodded to analogue culture while reinforcing Hermès’ long-standing mastery of leather goods.
