Custom-built reactor structure designed by TWOFIFTYK debuted during Outworld Madrid at IFEMA

Klangkuenstler has shared a new documentary revisiting Outworld Madrid, where a custom stage installation developed in collaboration with TWOFIFTYK debuted on March 21 at IFEMA Madrid as part of the artist’s evolving live production.

Conceived specifically for the Madrid edition of Outworld, the installation evolved from early conceptual sketches into a fully custom-built centrepiece shaped around dystopian science-fiction imagery, industrial architecture and space-oriented aesthetics. According to the creative team, the structure was designed not only as a scenic object, but as an integrated extension of the show’s wider stage environment.

Built entirely from scratch, the installation incorporates embedded lighting systems, custom LED strips and laser elements integrated directly into the structure’s legs, allowing the piece to function as an active part of the production design rather than a static visual backdrop.

The project also marked the first time Klangkuenstler has introduced a custom decor installation into his performances, reflecting a broader shift within contemporary techno events toward immersive stage architecture and world-building aesthetics.

Developed with future adaptability in mind, the installation was designed to evolve across upcoming editions and different locations while maintaining visual continuity with Outworld’s dystopian identity.

Creative partnership and design were led by TWOFIFTYK.
