Performances are set to unfold alongside visual art installations, wellness offerings and culinary rituals
MOGA Festival will once again land on Morocco’s Atlantic coast as it announces the return of its Essaouira edition, scheduled to take place from 1 to 5 October 2025.
Rooted in a dialogue between contemporary electronic music and the heritage of its surroundings, MOGA continues to explore the intersection of sound, setting and collective experience. The five-day gathering unfolds in two chapters: the OFF programme weaves through Essaouira’s storied medina during the first two days, offering site-specific events that blur the lines between urban history and sonic expression. The IN segment then transitions to the Hôtel Le Golf d’Essaouira & Spa, where four thoughtfully designed stages—Main, Garden, Wild and Terrace—host performances alongside visual art installations, wellness offerings and culinary rituals.
The initial line-up features a broad spectrum of artists including Bedouin, DJ Tennis, Bonobo (DJ Set), Patrick Mason, Arymé, Apollonia, Folamour and Saoirse, with the full programme set to welcome over 70 acts.
Since its inception in 2016, MOGA has positioned itself not simply as a music festival but as a multidisciplinary platform that honours place and presence. In its sixth Moroccan edition, that vision deepens further. Attendees are invited not just to dance, but to wander among palms, bathe in sun or water, and engage with the textures of local culture. From traditional crafts and flavours to open-air movement sessions, the programming fosters a reflective connection between the global and the local, the digital and the ancestral.
As with its sister event in Caparica, Portugal, MOGA Essaouira balances international programming with a commitment to regional narratives, offering a festival experience that is as much about immersion as it is about sound.
The first wave of participating artists has been announced. Discover the line-up below and access ticket information here.
