The Amsterdam Noord listening bar and arts space is now asking its community to help find a new home
Amsterdam Noord listening bar and arts space murmur will leave its current address at the end of 2026, as the team begins looking for a new home.
The Amsterdam space announced the news via Instagram, confirming that around four months remain before the team moves out of its current location. Rather than signalling an end for murmur, the announcement frames the move as the beginning of its next chapter, with an open call now extended to its wider community.
In the post, murmur said the current address represents the final year for the space, while expressing a desire to continue its work in a new location. The team also invited people who may know of a suitable space, or someone who might, to get in touch.
Sharing the full statement, murmur wrote:
“2026 is our final year at this address…
“With still four more months to go before we move out of our current space, there will be plenty of time to reflect properly, and make the impossible attempt to capture into words all the feels and sense of gratitude we have for all the different caring, loving and beautiful people that have been with us throughout these years, in ways beyond imaginable.
“For now: we don’t believe we’re done. ♡
“We still, and actually more than ever, greatly believe a space like murmur is necessary. In this city, and in these times. We are therefore on the lookout for a new home to start the next chapter of murmur. For this, we are doing an open call to all our communities: if you know the perfect space for us, or know that special person that definitely knows, we’d be grateful to hear from you.”
