Los Angeles and London host the debut of the series with Marshmello and Alison Wonderland
Marshmello and Alison Wonderland are set to headline Pokémon Night Out, a newly announced concert series by The Pokémon Company, arriving in Los Angeles and London later this year.
The programme coincides with the 30th anniversary of Pokémon. The milestone traces back to 1996, when the first titles—Pokémon Red and Green—were released in Japan for the Game Boy. Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo, the games established the core mechanics of catching, training, and trading creatures, laying the foundation for what would become a global franchise.
Positioned as the first initiative of its kind, the project brings together the visual universe of Pokémon with the arena-scale sensibilities of contemporary EDM. The programme will feature headline performances from Marshmello and Alison Wonderland, accompanied by a production framework centred on real-time animation, immersive visuals, and high-spec stage technology. The format reflects an ongoing shift in live entertainment, where intellectual property and music culture increasingly converge through experiential design.
Two dates have been confirmed for the inaugural run. The first will take place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on 24 October, followed by a second show at The O2 in London on 10 November.
Alongside the performances, the project extends into retail and collectible culture. A dedicated merchandise line will be made available via Pokémon Center, both on-site and online, featuring themed items tied to the event, including character-led designs such as Pikachu and Mewtwo. Digital assets, including downloadable wallpapers, have also been released in advance as part of the wider campaign rollout.
Running parallel to the evening concerts, a separate touring format titled Pokémon Day Out will launch earlier in the summer. Conceived as a family-oriented, immersive experience, the programme is set to travel across France, the United States, Germany, and Mexico, broadening the project’s demographic reach beyond its late-night counterpart.
As hybrid formats continue to redefine the boundaries between music, gaming, and visual culture, Pokémon Night Out signals a calibrated move towards cross-generational programming.
