The evening features A Guy Called Gerald, Anna Wall and the first London appearance of NIGHT manoeuvres
fabric has announced a one-off electronic music event at the British Museum, continuing its tradition of taking club culture into unexpected spaces across London.
Taking place on Friday 2 May, the event will unfold across several of the museum’s most iconic galleries, including the historic Reading Room, Room 17 – home to the ancient Lycian Nereid Monument – and the China and South Asia gallery. The night is set to offer a distinctive meeting point between contemporary music and classical architecture, reinforcing the growing recognition of electronic music as part of the city’s cultural landscape.
The line-up features A Guy Called Gerald, the pioneering Manchester artist known for the acid house anthem ‘Voodoo Ray’ and his influential role in the UK’s early dance music scene. Joining him is fabric resident Anna Wall, whose vinyl-driven sets bridge dub techno, acid and classic house sounds, alongside NIGHT manoeuvres – a collaborative project from DJ and producer ABSOLUTE and London Grammar’s Dot Major, known for weaving together UK bass, dubstep and leftfield techno.
fabric has previously brought its programming to landmark spaces including St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Coliseum, and The View From The Shard. With this latest announcement, the Farringdon club once again underscores its role in reimagining where electronic music can be heard and experienced in the capital.
