The global debut is scheduled for Beirut Hall on December 27

Italian duo Mathame are preparing to unveil the global debut of their new audiovisual project, NEOLOGY, with its first public presentation scheduled for Beirut on December 27.

The project extends the visual and narrative framework established through the duo’s earlier NEO A/V show series, first presented during a run of consecutive Friday nights at Amnesia Ibiza in the summer of 2024. Rather than introducing a standalone work, NEOLOGY advances that existing world, positioning the Beirut presentation as the next phase in a longer-form visual and conceptual arc.

Conceived as an immersive environment rather than a traditional concert format, NEOLOGY brings together sound, storytelling and cinematic scenography within a single spatial composition. Chapter I focuses on the origins of this universe, unfolding in real time through Mathame’s established audiovisual language and drawing the audience into the structure of the work as participants embedded within the scene.

Announcing the project on social media, the duo described the concept in their own words: “A visual portal into the world of NEO... What’s behind the giant statue you all know? The story doesn’t happen on a stage. It happens around you. You are part of the story.”

In a previous post expanding on the project’s conceptual framework, the duo described NEOLOGY as an extension of the NEO universe, developed over several years in collaboration with their team, and conceived as a visual narrative that brings the NEO event to life across festivals and selected locations.
