The Belgian techno artist is set to perform a three-hour set for an expected crowd of 14,000 in the heart of Antwerp
Amelie Lens is set to stage a large-scale open-air performance in front of Antwerp’s Royal Museum of Fine Arts (KMSKA), marking the launch of her debut album, ‘AURA’.
Scheduled for Saturday 5 September, the event will welcome up to 14,000 attendees and is being presented in collaboration with the City of Antwerp. According to organisers, it will be the first event of its scale to take place at the historic museum, transforming the institution’s surroundings into a temporary outdoor venue in the heart of the city.
Lens is expected to perform an extended three-hour set during the one-day programme, which will run from 2pm until 11pm. Additional artists are yet to be announced.
The project brings together contemporary electronic music and one of Antwerp’s most recognisable cultural landmarks, reflecting a growing interest in activating museum and heritage sites through large-scale public events.
Announcing the show, Amelie Lens said: “On the 5th of September, we will be celebrating my debut album in front of the most beautiful building in Antwerp, KMSKA. It's the first time that there will be 14,000 people dancing at this unique location, outdoors, in the city centre of Antwerp. I never imagined I would celebrate my very first album like this.”
The event’s waiting list is now open, while pre-sale tickets became available on 28 May. For more information, ticket access and future updates, click here.
