The Agger Fish Building at Brooklyn Navy Yard will welcome the immersive exhibition between 1-28 September
Following its acclaimed debut in London, Gorillaz have announced that their immersive House Of Kong exhibition is set to arrive in New York for a limited four-week run. The experience will take over the Agger Fish Building at Brooklyn Navy Yard from 1 to 28 September, inviting visitors into the expansive fictional universe that has defined the virtual band's creative identity for more than 25 years.
Designed as an hour-long, multi-sensory journey, House Of Kong offers fans the chance to step inside the mythology of Gorillaz, tracing the evolution of the project's music, artwork, characters and ever-expanding narrative. Described by the band as an opportunity to "peek behind the curtain into the unseen world of Gorillaz", the exhibition explores the iconic Kong Studios universe through immersive audiovisual installations and interactive storytelling.
The New York edition follows successful presentations in London and Los Angeles, with the concept developed in collaboration with Gorillaz creators Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, alongside Eleven Management. Creative director Stephen Gallagher has described House Of Kong not as a retrospective, but as "an audiovisual artwork" that looks back at the band's history while pointing towards its future—an approach that reflects Gorillaz' long-standing fusion of music, visual art and digital world-building.
Visitors can expect original artwork, conceptual sketches, archive material and immersive environments inspired by the fictional lives of Murdoc, 2D, Noodle and Russel, further reinforcing the project's status as one of contemporary music's most ambitious cross-disciplinary art ventures.
Tickets went on general sale on 30 June, with admission starting at $50. The exhibition will run daily between 1 and 28 September at the Agger Fish Building in Brooklyn Navy Yard.
