The experience is scheduled to open on 22 April at Lightroom Studios, King’s Cross

An immersive new show titled “David Bowie: You’re Not Alone” is set to arrive in London this April, spotlighting some of the artist’s most defining performances alongside rarely seen archival material.

The 360° experience is produced by Lightroom, the studio behind collaborations with figures including David Hockney, Tom Hanks and Anna Wintour. The show is written and designed by Mark Grimmer of 59, the creative force behind the V&A’s "David Bowie Is..." exhibition, in partnership with Tom Wexler.

The presentation brings together rarely seen and previously unexhibited material drawn from thousands of hours of film housed in the David Bowie Archive in New York, spanning key eras from ‘Space Oddity’ and ‘Heroes’ through to ‘Blackstar’.

Live performance footage sits alongside photography, sketches, handwritten lyrics, personal notes and audio recordings, with the film unfolding in thematic chapters within a continuous loop. Among the inclusions are a notably uneasy transatlantic TV interview with Russell Harty from 1975, and a reconstructed set from the Diamond Dogs tour.

In line with Lightroom’s earlier productions, visuals will be projected across the entire cube-shaped space, positioning visitors at the heart of Bowie’s live presence. Sonically, each track has been newly reworked to align with Lightroom’s bespoke spatial audio system, guiding audiences through the many phases of Bowie’s influential career.
